how to transfer pictures from iphone to cloud?

how do i transfer pictures on my iphone to cloud?

its set to auto transfer new photos but i would like to transfer ones taken before cloud was released.

cant see an option to do it.

For now can't you just do it via USB one off time and then drag it into your photo stream?

It is stupid, but as above.. its not hard as a once off to do it over USB or another application such as PhotoSync

IF you are on a Mac and you have Aperture and have it to setup to sync with Photostream then you could just import the photos from your iPhone into Aperture.
