how to turn volume down with keyboard

hi just got some new headphones,but there is no switch to turn the volume up or down,while playing games,just wondered if there was any software that would allow me to turn the sound down with say up and down arrows on my keyboard,

just want to lower my volume while playing mw2,if someone comes in to my room,
