how to use 75hz on my monitor

From my understanding of the lower end of LGs widescreen gaming monitors, freesync has to be enabled in the OSD for it to expose 75hz naturally to the system even if the system is not freesync compatible. You may however be able to overclock your monitor manually to 75hz using the nvidia control panel to get around this, one issue though is that many have reported frame skipping doing this. If you have a m8 with a freesync compatible GPU (i think anything radeon r9 290 and upwards, maybe even the 285) you should be able to connect the monitor to this gpu and enable freesync and power the monitor off and switch to your own nvidia gpu and get the full 75hz support in windows.

Well not if the above mentioned methods works for you. You should give them a try (manual overclocking etc). Ive used a very similar LG ultrawide on my nvidia gpu with no issues at 75hz. Go into the OSD and look for the freesync option and see if it will allow to be turned on. If it does then for good measure reboot and the 75hz option should be there. If it does not allow you to enable freesync in the OSD then i would turn to overclocking the screen through the nvidia control panel. Remember to check for frame skipping with testufo.com.
