I thought I'd post this up as I've been searching for this for a while and it appeared there wasn't a solution...

Those of you using bootcamp on a mac have the driver, but for those of you using a mac keyboard with a PC, this adds some extra functionality.

Volume now works
Mute works
@ and " symbol switched round

I'm sure there's some other stuff that now works but I was really only interested in the volume keys:)

You might need to download 7-zip to extract it.

APPLE KEYBOARD DRIVER

Ok so I've installed the UK keyboard layout rather than the apple one... This retains volume/mute functionality, allows you to use the £ sign, but swaps @ and " to how they are on a normal PC keyboard. I guess this is the best compromise really!

I'll stop rabbiting on about this now... :)

I think they call the "normal" apple keyboard layout as English International. I may well be wrong though. :o :)

You lot just made me go buy a wired Apple keyboard for my PC. Cheers. :p

My only complaint (already own the wireless version) is why is it that they MBs black keys feel a lot nicer to type on than the white ones. Both are lovely though, haha. :D

i used microsoft keyboard layout creator to create my own keyboard layout to match that of apples. Save your own layout, install then select from keyboard properties in device manager. Then i used sharpkeys to assign volume keys etc.

I did this ages ago so my memory is a bit rusty regarding the exact procedure but use google to find the two apps.

worked with xp, vista and win7 64 :)

using the alu apple keyboard at the moment, working good on windows 7.

However my keyboard freezes my PC on bootup, i need to remove my keyboard to pass POST then I can plug it in. So frustrating. Also how do you print screen on a apple keyboard? I've read its F13 but it doesnt work?

I think you have to set it up on sharp keys or something. :)

But yeah, there should be a setting in your BIOS. :o

APPLE KEYBOARD DRIVER

Not working for me either! :(

My apple keyboard is already installed as HID compliant device. This driver fails - suggesting no Apple Keyboard is installed. XP-32 SP3
