How to use nTune

Hi All

I have now tried 3 different versions of nTune 5 from the initial release to 5.0.5.25 and the problem I have hasnt been fixed, which makes me think its me! Basically when trying to use it to overclock the gfx card, i tick "custom clocks" it basically leaves both "default clocks" and "custom clocks" ticked and wont allow me to move the sliders. Trying to click "find optimal" results in instant death and a hard reset of the pc is needed. What am I doing wrong? Using the latest drivers and latest ntune, on an XP system and a 8800gts. same with me mate I believe it is drievr issues at the moment! I use riva tuner and that forces only custom clocks selected but.................you still cant find optimal, the crash happens!

So I believe driver related at the moment!

I also have exactly the same issue, assuming you are on XP rather than VISTA you should use Rivatuner to do your overclocking.

first time i installed it with the 97.92's it was fine. second time after a reinstall of xp it does the same as yours. i dont really care though, not much sence in overclocking these cards lol

Glad to hear its not just me Can I use rivatuner to apply clocks on startup and then shut itself down?
