How to write a termination letter for job

Hi

I remember seeing a post about this a while back and i thought i had saved the page but i hadnt. I have done a search and cannot find it. So here it is again lol.

How do you go about writing one?

Think it was the thread that I made that you might be referring to...anyway this is what I put in mine.

To whom it may concern


It is with regret that I hereby give notice of my resignation from my position as ********with ****. I have been offered an excellent opportunity and will be leaving the company after serving one month’s notice as per my contract. This will fall on Day/Month/Year and as such my final day in the office will be Day/Month/Year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the company and my colleagues for their kindness and support and for making my time with ***** both memorable and enjoyable. I wish them every success for the future.
