how to you get the sky remote to turn up the volume on the telly?

Find the remote code for your TV manufacturer (could be any one of the codes listed)
Turn your TV on.
Press TV on your Sky remote control handset.
Hold down SELECT and the RED button together for about 2 seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control flashes twice.
Key in your 3 digit code selected for your make of TV from the link. The light on the Sky remote control should flash twice. If the light flashes only once, recheck the code for your make of TV and start again at Step 1.
Press the STANDBY button on your Sky remote control. If your TV switches off, press SELECT. The light on the Sky remote control flashes twice. Now try the other functions.
Repeat if necessary using another code.

it seems that my LG tv is not supported
Hi, that seems like a really out of date list as it doesn't contain my Samsung LCD TV either. You can go to the Sky Interactive Help pages from within Sky itself, there you will find more recent codes. Or you could try here http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/digicode2.htm don't worry if your TV isn't listed as you should find that another LG code should work...
