How too

With the X1*** Series you have to disable some ATi services, otherwise ATi ccc messes around and causes your pc to crash.

You also have to set 2d and 3d Profiles,

Concorde will have an answer for you ( I think thats his name :p )

Type services.msc in your run dialog. Find the ATi hotkey poller service and disable it.

Now in ATi Tools up the Core clock speed up by about 5 MHz and open the 3D view and let it warm up your card for about 30 seconds. If there are no artefacts up the Clock speed again. Keep going until either you get artefacts or the temperature gets out of hand.

Repeat with the memory clock speed. Once you are happy save the settings to a new profile called 3D or Overclock or whatever. There are other settings you might want to change, such as fan speed settings but I will let you play.

Also, check out this guide if you have an X1800 or X1900 card. http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=gethowto&howtoID=61
