How Was Your MacBook Delivery Time?

Is this true? Moving to Manchester tomorrow, you recommend buying from the shop or online?

Well, almost certainly in the shop.
I think if you plan on customising it (i.e. adding RAM) then it will take at least a week or so to arrive. In the shop they will perform the upgrade for you there and then. You also get a cool apple bag :p

Err, I trust that's a joke.

What's wrong with Windows?
(Unless you mean he'll be using XP only on a MacBook?)

I installed it on my MacBook 3 days after recieving ti - so I can load up a couple of classic games and play - not that I have done a lot lately, OSX is good but my Game collections is PC only apart from WC3.

So far - I've not had any issue with OSX apart from slow Dreamweaver 8, XP did give me a couple of BSOD whilst playing Jedi Academy - typical MS but hey, it happens.

I guess i'm a hardcore switcher.
I haven't installed Windows or even touched it since I got my MBP.

On another note, 2GB kingston came today, fitted it.
Muchhhhhh quicker :)

I always planed to install Windows XP and one of the great things about the MacBook is you can :) as good as OSX is it's no good if you wan't to play Counterstrike etc.

I now have XP, Steam, Counterstrike, Condition Zero and Day of Defeat all running perfectly on my Macbook :)

Pumaz, have you set up internet on XP? Are you just using the windows firewall, will that be okay? Also do you not need any additional security for OSX?

Yeah I've setup internet etc. I'm using a wireless router with a WEP key and windows firewall works fine, I don't think you really need additional security for OSX. I'm not using any :)
