Specs are in sig, i play at 1440x900 res, will i be able to run it maxed out? In games i prefer big battles but i would have thought will my E6400 at stock i will be limited to 4 players battles, but what do you reckon?

ok thanks, just i no this game strains cpu and memory a lot in big battles, and it dosent help that i have god awful vista either.

Any other opinions?

Very playable indeed, i run a C2D @3.2, 4 gig of ram and a X1800XT and it runs at 1920x1200 fine (2 xAA) unless there is 4 players and it gets a bit slow but nothing hurrendous. Thats on Vista Ultimate

I've played a few 8 player games on a 20kmx20km (the 80x80 ones are jus too big, can't be arsed), and with the large battles is has managed to slow my comp to a crawl (we're talking several hundred units aside here). I have an Athlon 5200+ clocked at just under 3Ghz though, if you overclock your 6400 a bit it should steam through it

I can play a 3 CPU vs me on a 10km or possibly 20km map I think all low gfx on my macbook pro, it lags a bit but not enough to hamper the game play.

2.16Ghz C2D (slightly gimped)
2Gb DDR2
x1600 mobility.

at 1440X900

You'll be fine, you just have to bare in mind that once the going gets tough the game strangles the best of systems, don't let it put you off playing it though, it's a great game.

'Maxed out' is a bit confused - yes, you could max out the graphics settings, but you couldnt max out the players or unit cap.
The graphics card will be more than fine, but like the rest of us you wont be able to play 8-way matches with 2000 units each (etc)
