Pretty much any laptop GPU will be able to display basic stuff (ie, your desktop) at that resolution. However, some of the more anemic built-in GPUs might not be able to run 720p video (which is what I'd assume you'd be going for) without some level of stutter. These cards are rare though.
Just make sure you get a laptop with an HDMI port. DVI is just as good, but doesn't carry audio, and VGA is an old school analogue connection (but still capable of handling the high resolutions in question)
