How well will Crysis run??

How well would you guys think my system will run crysis if I upgraded to 2gb of mem and a ATI x1950 card??...... See in sig, i've jus bought a X-Fi Xtreme Music soundcard so that will help a bit

Well your going to need to spend a few hundred more ponds more if you want to play it on max graphics but apart from that is should urn ok.

If i were you, i wouldnt rush out and buy anything new to play a game that wont be realeased for a while... New tech may come out before then, and nobody knows the Crysis requirements.. so it may run better than you think it will..

Don’t forget as well if you want to run crisis on max graphics you need DX10 but DX10 is for Vista only which isn’t cheap.

Im seeing if I can keep my fx55 for a few more years and just upgrading the mem and 3dcard, my fx55 has a lot more to give yet hasnt it before I need a new cpu?? It was like £700 when I bought it just under 2years ago

No you will be able to run at Max on DX9, DX10 will just have new lighting/shadow features etc

Which is exactly why I'm holding off buying a card at the mo. When I load up Crysis I want it to look exactly like the screen shots I've been seeing

ive just bought one of these for crysis...

now all i need is a larger monitor... Anyone know if BlueGene L is DX10 compatable ?

huh? LOL, you do realise that ALL the screenshots you have currently seen are DX9 with a x1900xtx and other current gen hardware

, there is no dx10 crysis footage out yet.

It will run perfectly with my [email protected] and ax1950 card then

I would get a 7950GX2 card, but I use vsync.

Should run fine, people are seeing how good it looks and overhyping the requirements to such an extent some people think they need a conroe/r600 uber cluster to power it, well actually no im sure it will be highly optimized and you will be impressed how well it runs.

No point holding off, the x1900 has been out for donkeys, and thats what the screenshots are from.

When everyone rushes out to get their £230+ Vista, and their £350+ DX10 card just for Crysis, im gona be sitting here just PMSL when they all start saying that it hardly looks any different to DX9, £600+ for it as well PMSL, its hilarious how everyone thinks that when its ran on a DX10 card its gona look like a totally different game, the graphics are gona change completely, i can't wait.
