hey guys,

so as you mite have seen, im planning a X79 rig and trying to make my mind up with which GPU's to go with that will fit my needs.

i want best performance for the money, but willing to pay a little extra if theres a lot more potential in the cards.

now i was pretty much set with 7950's, until i seen the benchmarks of SLI'd GTX660 TI's, not only that, ive now come across 3GB cards and the 3GB VRAM of the 7950's were really grabbing my attention.

so what i would like to know is, how well do these 3GB cards do? ive searched google but cant seem to find anything decent, so im guessing not a lot of people out there are using them.

i will be gaming at 1080p on this monitor:

and these are the cards im looking at:

ive seen benchmarks with the one card but not in SLI and what i can gather from GTX660 TI in SLI, they scale very very well.

so what do you guys think?

i mainly play FPS,RPG,RTS etc...

they scale very well, its tempting lol

i have no intention of going to higher res monitors, so the 3GB of VRAM should benefit me for newer game releases (Rome total war 2,BF4 etc..)

what would you guys go for? and why?
