How will these games run with a new monitor?

Currently play at 1440x900, but im thinking about getting a new 22inch monitor 1680x1050, and just wondering how my 640mb 8800GTS will handle these games:

Call of duty 4
BF2
The Witcher
WoW (:p)
Company of heroes + expansion
TF2

Preferably from someone with similar specs.

Pretty sure all should run maxed out except maybe the witcher (havnt got it yet, coming in post) and CoD4.

Im just wondering how much of an FPS hit i will take, im fine with running aa at 2x. And how well the witcher will run.

Stop talking rubbish, even on 1280x1024 when I had the 8800GT, some games ran pretty near the ''just playable'' 35 fps barrier, supcom being one of them but colin mcrae dirt too and that was with just 2x AA, with 16X QAA it would have grinded to a halt I guess.
 
Don't get sour fellas, I speak the truth. With a 640mb 8800GTS it would be a bit of a crime to continue to play at 1440x900.

All those games will love 1680x1050 (The witcher I have not tried, but if it struggles I'l eat my face). I play everything at 1680x1050, usually with 4x - 6x AA and that is with a 512mb X1900 XT (I drop it to 2x aa in CoD4 for 60fps).

Go and make your GPU proud, buy the 22" and really experience one of the biggest pro's about PC gaming :)

Oh and excuse my bitter bluntness if you must, I'm tired, bitter and blunt.

What on earth did you do to that poor graphics card? All it ever wanted to do was play games with you at at least 1680x1050.
 
Ahh you took the plunge, well done!

So which screen did you go for? I remember getting my Belinea 102035W 20", I neally wet myself with excitment. At the time my X1900 XT was pretty top banana and I had been humiliating it with an old fuzzy 1280x1024 CRT, I was just as excited about the monitor as I was when I built the rig. It really makes a massive, massive difference.
 
I have a 2900XT 512mb and that runs all the above great at max settings on ** new res. all with 4xAA

Except The Witcher not played that.


Only game i can struggle with is crysis (surprised? I aint)
 
the belinea 22inch, its on this week only for £140, couldnt resist in the end. Only problem is it apprently suffers from backlight bleeding, but my current monitor does that, and it isnt really too much of a problem in games.
