3800+ x2 @ 2.6Ghz
Asus A8R32-MVP
2GB Geil Value PC3200 3-3-3-8-1T
Hiper Type-r 580W

Kick your feet up and relax.

at below 1600x1200, its a waste of money.

Above that, well its still going to be a bottleneck. I mean my X1900XTX was bottlenecked by a 2.5ghz X2, and at 2.8ghz with my Conroe it is still slightly, and this is at 1600x1200.

Thats the spec I used to run a Crossfire setup on and it was fast, when I shifted it to a Conroe setup the performance jumped by 30% or so. So yes the CPU is a bottleneck.

Your cpu will bottleneck it slightly but not hugely.
Also, your 3DMark06 score should be a little higher then mine, 500 more points then I have (in sig) tops (unless you overclock) ;)

Now go buy it & enjoy it! :D

im talking about getting xfire not a single card i already have a single 1900xt and i get 11140 in 05 and 5900 in 06

im running 1680x1050, and NO im not spending £250 to improve my 3d Marks whats with the bitchy comments?

your res is a huge limitation much more than your cpu.

get a 24" and it becomes worth it.

Isnt bitchy, i asked what you intended to do once you had got it and i got

' i didnt ask how it would perform on my overall specs just my cpu as this is the most relevant thing'

when res is the most important factor.

crossfire isnt worth it at that res, one card can handle that ok.

Your scores are higher than mine, I have an FX-55/X1900XT-X (512meg) (05.>10,780, 06>5,200

Maybe it's the "X2" that makes the difference
