I've just purchased a CoolerMaster 690 II Advanced as well as two 140mm Enermax TB Silence fans and i'm wondering how best to arrange them.

My orginal idea was to have the two Enermax as front intake fans, two of the stock 140mm CoolerMaster fans as top exhausts and leave the 120mm stock exhaust fan where it is.

Does that sound ok or would it be better to have 3 intake and 2 exhaust instead?

Thanks.

Having the rear and top fans working in different directions can cause airflow issues so it's probably the best to leave as you describe.

The only small drawback is that you'd have a somewhat negative case pressure situation going on so would have some dust drawn in through the holes in the case side panel.

I suppose you could try switching the rear fan around and seeing if it makes any difference to the cooling ability and dust ingress.

I have the front 140mm as standard intake, top as exhaust and the rear as intake. I only have the rear 1 as intake for my H50 as I get better temps like that.

Thanks for the comments. I'll eventually add two more intake fans on the right panel with dust filters so the dust issue shouldn't be too bad.

I have 3 Fractals 140mm and 1 Fractal 120mm. I have the 120mm at the back as an exhaust with 2 140mms at the top also as exhausts. I only have the one 140mm at the front as an intake and this works well for me. I might test the system with the 120mm as an intake though....
