How would I connect my case headphone port to X-Fi Extreme Music?

Hi folks,

After reading the recommendations on this forum I recently purchased the Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 speakers.

Whilst they are fantastic speakers, they unfortunately don't have a headphone socket on them, which I need to use from time to time.

The headphone socket on the case doesn't work at the moment (I believe it would only work with onboard audio). Is there an easy way to connect the X-Fi Music to the case (Tsunami Dream) headphone socket?

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the reply.

I have looked on Creatives website and the front panel is £75!!! Not only is it way to expensive for what I would use it for, but my case has a door which would be annoying to have open when using headphones.

If there is not an easy way of doing it, is there a more difficult cheap way?

Thanks squiffy, I don't really know much about either, I'll google them now to see if they would do the trick.
I was kind of hoping there would be an internal way of connecting the X-Fi to the headphones socket.
I'll keep looking!

Thanks for that Otaku,

I had a good read at that and my case wires from the headphone socket are indeed separate.

Unfortunately, the black plastic that surrounds the connection is ever so slightly too big, resulting in the connection being loose on the X-Fi pins.
It also prevents me from connecting more than 2 side by side.

I guess the next thing for me to do is remove the black surrounds/housing from the wires and fit them to smaller ones, what joy!

All this to stop me climbing under my desk to swap a wire at the back! LOL
