...limiting the frame rate of all games to arbitrary number without using vsync?

I've seen this is done in Fraps (when recording), and I need to limit a game to around 300fps.

All help welcome.

On a side note, is there a VC++ 2008 desktop installer? I don't want to be downloading it on multiple machines when I can download once and install on all...

I've not found any software solutions, hence why I posted on here, going to code one myself if anyone has any bright ideas on how to do so.

Yep, the game is GunZ, anything less than 200 or more than 400 makes the response time really poor (sort of like the render frames ahead option).

@Pho:
I was hoping for VC++ on it's own, but this'll still save me a lot of downloading so much appreciated.

@_TubbZ_:
A 60 second recording at 30fps takes up lots of disc space, hate to imagine what a couple of hours at 300 would do :eek:

And no, I tried it already :D
