How would this machine handle things?

Looks like a very nice machine - the 4670K CPU is one of the best for gaming right now and can be overclocked to at least 4.2GHz with the board and CPU cooler that come with that system. For DayZ and Titanfall this machine will do you very nicely.

The only thing that concerns me a bit about that PC is that it seems to be based around a 450W PSU. Its a nice quality PSU for sure (superflower) but if you want to run high end graphics cards (like the ones you mentioned) then you would really want something in the 550W range at least.

Perhaps give OCUK a shout and see if they can give you a price for modification on the "Titan Machete" spec with a better PSU and graphics card?

Aye, at stock CPU and GPU speeds the 450W should just about get away with a GTX 770. However, if you want to drop in a higher power GPU or do some CPU/GPU overclocking then you may find that the 450W units is being brought to its limit. So if at all possible I would change it up to something like a 550W unit, as its much better than replacing it later.

As for 770 vs 780 - the 780 is a fantastic card and would be the one I would go with if you ever think you will SLI in the future. The GTX 770 4GB is a nice card, but on OCUK the cheapest 4GB card is £294. However, for an extra £26 you can get a R9 290 4GB with an excellent custom cooler that performs considerably better than the GTX 770 (and the GTX 780), here is a review.

If you want to record while gaming I'd say try and get a 780 as it will help to keep things smooth even though the latest capture software has a lot less impact on framerates than it used to.

That is a good point, that shadowplay stuff does look pretty smart and would make a lot of sense with CPU-heavy games like dayz if you can offload the encoding from the CPU onto the GPU.
