I will be purchasing a new property within the next few months, the property isn't decided on but ours is currently for sale.
As this will be my first non-rented property I will be investing a fair amount of money into a projector, screen, receiver, speakers and sub. My PC is a combo HTPC/Gaming spec in sig but with 5 HDD's filled with media which I play via XBMC. I will have the room where all the equipment goes decorated so cables are hidden etc however I am currently dealing with one problem.
Although I will be using the projector for films and likely some BF4 I will still want to browse and maybe watch the occasional TV show or just play some music which won't require the use of the projector. I originally thought of just getting a decent tablet for browsing but want a set screen if I do want to watch a TV show, Youtube video or want to browse my music (I just use Windows Explorer
) so it needs to be connected to my PC. So monitor, except whilst I can have a long HDMI cable hidden away going around the room it needs to be accessible from the sofa but easy enough to move completely out of the way and look tidy when watching on the projector.
Anyone had a similar situation or any ideas?
