How would you feel if...?

I've been put of Asus by the fact their barebones that we use as low end servers at work are awfull. Not to sure about BFG as my 8800GT has died, 2 days after asking for an RMA they just told me to contact OcUK...

Well i would be loathe to use Sapphire again tbh after discovering they have a 30 working day (6 Weeks) RMA turn around :(

Most of the Nvidia cards are all manufactured at the same place. You then buy the whole card from Nvidia.

Hardware failure is unavoidable, I don't mind hardware failing as that can happen at any time.

If the RMA procedure is excellent, and hassle free then I would buy from them again as at least if you do get another failure you know it is dealt with.

Hardware failure I can live with, crap customer service I can't.

I think its stupid people base ideas from one experience. Like when friends say 'oh no you dont want any AMD processors because once upon a time i bouhgt one and it randomly broke on me.'

You need to apprecite that these companies are so large, that each time you buy a product, your probably dealing with a whole new bunch of people.

Ive experienced more than once where ive sent an e-mail, the staff has answered it poorly and then when you re-ask you get some kind of manager telling you the truth second time round, opposite to what the employee said. Thats my first post \o/.

Thankyou v much :p. I thought this was one of the posts where i could offer my advice without worrying about embarassing myself with my comparitivley poor knowledge compared to you guys. :D

Well i know that next time im going to be buying from BFG as opposed to PNY due to BFG's RMA service, may be changing to a 3870 or other ATI card though.

That leads to another question (not worthy of its own thread). I was thinking of buying BFG 8800gts, if it was bought from the bay would that cause problems with future RMA's? EVGA for example ask for the original receipt with date bought and address of the retailer.
