be quiet! Pure Base 500
be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Around 2600€ assembled & delivered

I'd recommend upgrading the SSD to SN850 if possible. Its amongst the highest rated ssds and costs about £50 more. Not sure if its avialable from where you are buying.

What about the Samsung 980?

Even the base 980 is about 25% faster than the SN550, so it would be worth it if it doesn't cost too much more. Bear in mind, Samsung also have the faster 980 Pro, which is almost 100% faster than SN550, but not sure how much more it costs or if its available in the PC configurator.

What about the Samsung 980?
Purposely "misleadingly" (=fraudulently) named drive.
It should have been 970 something, because it's PCIe v3 drive and not PCIe v4 drive unlike 980 Pro.

So be very careful with the price you pay from it.
Samsung drives are usually brand overpriced and certainly wouldn't pay big extras per GB.
True PCIe v4 drive with 5GB/s capability could be at same price.

Those are my choices for 1TB SSD, hoping I'm not breaking any rule:

1TB Samsung 870 QVO (Read 560MB/s - Write 530MB/s) 1000 GB +112,00 €
1TB Western Digital WD Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 (Read 2400MB/s - Write 1950MB/s) 1000 GB PCIe3.0 2280 +116,50 €
1TB Samsung 870 EVO (Read 560MB/s - Write 530MB/s) 1000 GB +139,00 €
1TB Samsung 980 NVMe M.2 (Read 3500MB/s - Write 3000MB/s) 1000 GB PCIe3.0 2280 +146,00 €
1TB Western Digital BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 (Read 3470MB/s - Write 3000MB/s) 1000 GB PCIe3.0 2280 +151,00 €

I'd rather not spend more than 150€ for an SSD.

OcUK certainly wouldn't feel threatened about seeing those prices...
Which are high.
Because of Samsung's brand overpricing some of those prices would be mostly high even here in Finland.
2TB Wd Blue SN550 could be found for not that much more than 150€.

And for gaming you should just forget SATA SSDs.
DirectStorage intended to increase game loading speeds in general supports only PCIe/NVMe SSDs.

While most games have crappy design even basic NVMe crushes SATA drives in properly designed games:

Anyway this would be propably better to continue in private messages, or "conversations" as this forum software calls them.

Honestly I still game OK without an SSD, not sure I would feel the difference between SATA and NVME...

I'm sure I will, however I'm usually lagging 2-3 years behind releases as I usually don't buy games over 20€...

Only thing that stands out to me is the z660 MB, against the K CPU. According to GamersNexus (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEkDVlv1FFg) , you will have a harder time overclocking. If they are right and if you are looking to use some OC features, you may want a z690. If not planning to OC, you might save some money and not get a K skew and cheaper cooler (maybe)

K processors have higher clocks even without overclocking and are usually of better bins. I'm not interested in overclocking especially as I intend to use air cooling and not an AIO.
