Howabout a photoshop competition

Count me in. I've been waiting for this for a while.

Also, I recommend you create a "submissions in by" date, and not give each person a certain amount of time, 'cause it takes too damn long and lots of people drop out by the time it's finished.

I recommend a "Redesign of a current brand name" theme. For example, a redesign of the Mars Bar logo or Mercedes etc. :)

I love brands. *becomes aroused again* damnit!

Sounds very confident...who would be a judge :p - I would take that position as I CANT photoshop my self however can tell what looks good/bad :o
 
i like the idea on the brands theme


Ok the task is to redesign a Brand Label everyone who would like to enter please send me an email to [email protected]

Everyone who would like to enter must email me by Sunday the 16th and then we will sort out dates etc. if a don could kindly change the title of the thread to include the entre dates that would be good :) thanks

I would like to suggest another part of the theme. Re-branding is all well and cool, but I say another rule is that we have to re-brand something as a new product.

For example, if someone did Mars Bar... they would come up with a Mars Bar Crunch, or something like that. I think this also shows creation in another area.

As such, the theme should really be called Product Development. In my opinion. :D
 
In my opinion, read: truth, we shouldn't get to choose the brand we want to redesign. I think it should be inpartial and get given one brand identity to re-design.

Phate choosing it and giving it us today or tomorrow for example. The Sunday deadline could remain, because pressure = good results in my experience :D

I kinda like that, but maybe with a little more creation. Say we are given Mars (I love that example, don't I?)... we have to not only change the design, but make a slight alteration to the actual product.

This shows the ability of being able to advertise messages effectively in design.

If we could come up with a list, we could make a poll thread in GD so we can find out what "normal" people actually want, as in, what branding they think is old and out-dated.
