No? He said we should rebrand a company and possibly make up a new product for it aswell. He didn't say anything about using OcUK.

I think its a nice idea using OcUK, because its close to home and a lot of people from the forums will be interested to see how it spans out.

Rebranding OcUK is ... boring. I think we should take something away from the forums, rather than involving it in everything.

Besides, it'd just be a simple "Logo" competition and there aren't going to be many oppertunities for creativity because the perfect logo, is a simple logo. Especially for a business.

I'll still do it, but I'll continue to complain all the time!

I don't see the need for requesting emails. I think you should make an official thread with rules and a deadline. People post their entry before the deadline, and it's all good!

Re-branding kinda sucks, just designing a logo. Make it something big, fun and sexy

If this is turning in to a design/re-branding comp. then certain people have a distinct advantage.

I thought this was just a bit of fun using Photoshop ( Not practical Design skills ) ?

But having just a bit of fun in Photoshop is too wider topic.

Someone could create a funky retro wallpaper, whilst someone else could do a new innovative BBC logo.

Both took time and skill to produce, but which would be better? Neither.

You can't compare topics, it needs to be one set task if it's to be a competition.

I'm not saying it's going to be a re-brand (it's upto Phate remember) I'm just bouncing ideas around.

How about...

We each get a photo of our choice(a stock photo or such), and then we can manipulate, add things, do absolutely whatever we want with it to create something snazzy, but we must show the original photo we used in the first place, aswell as the artwork/design we've created?

Ok

right having a think the whole re-branding thing could get boring after about the 5th entre.

So howabout a summer themed image. 800 x 600 in size, can be of what ever you want but has to have the whole summer idea to it. and the person after the previous one must use something from the previous entre.

Pretty much the same as the last photoshop competition, but that was ages ago and i've got all the images saved so i'll no if anyones cheating

Also Photoshop only no illustrator etc. but you can take like a photograph from the web and edit it to your hearts content but you have to add something to it if you decide to use an image from deviantart or whatver.

All sound good? if so i'll make an official thread tonight and we can get this underway
