New to forums, thought I’d introduce myself, erm *thinks* I’ve been a console only guy ever since I was 5 but two years ago I decided to the take the plunge of building a gaming pc, I was scared as hell lol. Anyway I picked parts on ************ and everything started arriving bit by bit, on the weekend after everything had arrived me with the assistance of my little brother (due to disability he did all the physical stuff by following my instructions) it took two days as we took it slow but after the nerve racking moment of hitting the on button (I was sweating buckets) and seeing it post the feeling of success was oh so sweet. My rig was a coolermaster mb520 RGB case, Aorus z390 WiFi mobo, i7 9700K, hyper 212 Evo black rgb cooler, 16GB (2x8GB) 3200mhz ram (RGB), evga 750watt 80+ gold fully modular psu, gigabyte wind force rtx 2070, 250GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD and a 2TB HDD. Since then I’ve recently done a semi upgrade on it, replaced the psu for a evga g5 1000watt, removed the sata drives and gone fully nvme with a 1tb sn850 and a 1tb sn750, I’ve also swapped the pre-installed front fans and added 2 top exhaust fans as well as replacing to stock rear fan. Swapped the ram for 3600mhz sticks. I have also fixed cable management (I just shoved everything in when I first built) to make it look neatish, shame you can’t remove the HDD bracket in my case otherwise I would have. I only use my PC to game but I alternate between it and the PS5 depending on varying factors. Few months after my first build, I built another somewhat cheaper pc for living room which I use to game as well and rip BDs for my plex server, I’ll do parts for that another time but one thing it thought me was I’m not an and gpu fan, it gave me so many issues that I ended up swapping to nvidia card and issues stopped. So that’s basically how I got into pc building, I’m still kinda new so I still ask for advice from people on discord who are more knowledgeable, especially when I panic if PC does something weird lol but other than that, hello
