Im close to making a final decision on what 360/HDTV combination to go for, and im pretty sure im going to need that 120gb drive on the elite.

But are all elites finally the quieter/better ones now?

Should be unless the shops still have a few of the older ones left in stock.

I think a 360 with a falcon chip has 125w of power going to it which it says on a sticker on the box :)

175W for the falcon.

It's also just the CPU that's been die shrunk to 65nm, the GPU is still 90nm but has the extra heatpipe/heatsink attached to keep it cooler. The 65nm GPU isn't expected to roll out until August or so.

You should find that the Arcade/Pro/Elite are all falcon by now (unless some really old stock is still kicking about)

I think the issue of noise is debatable, there are those of us that feel the new ones are quiet and those that think its just as noisy or more noisy than the old boxes.
Like the other guys say most likely you would be getting a falcon if you bought off the high street currently.

think i'll go for the LE37R88 at £525

its £100+ more to go up to the extra 3" and i dont have anything that outputs useful 1080p.

Shame the 32" isnt cheaper
