Hey guys, first post and I'm already asking for advice, woo!

I'm thinking about getting a pretty decent gaming/music production rig for under £1000. I was originally contemplating http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-101-OE or http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-034-OP&groupid=43&catid=1444&subcat= - then I decided it might be better to just build my own rig and perhaps save a bit of cash while getting a better GFX card.

Is what I've come up with, just hoping to get some advice and opinions.

Cheers for any help!

P.s Not sure about the GFX, I've stuck with ATI since 4xxx but for the same price, I think I've seen some nice NVidea's.

some form of optical drive to install programs with? unless u already have one lying around in which case ignore that :)

if you can go over your budget a lil bit, consider an SSD as a boot drive.

Good enough for Crossfire at 650w? Niiice, that's handy to know, cheers.

Haha yeah, I've got a few spare parts I can use from other machines, should be all good. I've considered a SSD but I might just wait it out a bit until they're a bit cheaper..or until my next paycheque!

Yeah, probably a good idea, I assume the "Turbo" is just factory OC'd or something?

Cheers guys.

Turbo sounds like a factory OC to me, they tend to be fairly small overclocks that you could easily achieve yourself. If you're tempted by an SSD and it's within budget, the OCZ 2E 60GBs are going for <£90 at the moment.

I'm using the OCZ as my boot drive and pretty impressed, use a Samsung F3 for programs.
