Been about 4 years since I last did a fresh build and now it's making me itch.

Just looking for some input on this current build. I can't see much else to do, but always looking to see what other people might suggest.

CPU: i7 4790K
MOBO: Gigabyte Z97MX (mATX)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz (9-9-9-24)
GPU: MSI nVidia 970
SSD: Samsung 256GB 850 Pro
Case: Corsair Obsidian 350D (mATX)
PSU: Corsair AX 760W 80Plus Platinum
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i + 2x Noctua NF-P12 fans
CPU Paste: Arctic Silver 5
Misc Fans:
- Noctua NF-S12A ULN for the rear
- Noctua NF-A14 ULN at the front towards GPU

Total cost is ~£1250

I think I can improve upon the CPU cooler, but haven't seen anything else out there which has caught my eye.

Good suggestions.

just looked at a review for the cooler. It runs quieter and cooler than than H100i. I might be able to drop the Noctua fans from the build and save a few £££'s.

That is a nice build, although the issue I have is that I have yet to find an itx case which I like.

The reason for this current build is portability as I frequent many LANs. It also has to look good. Carrying my current setup is becoming a chore.

99% of the ITX cases I can find contain stuff in them which (in my opinion) has become obsolete for the form factor, such as optical and 3.5" bays, which usually get in the way of a decent build and instead become a limiting factor.

Just been looking at the Bitfenix Pandora. Actually a nice looking case.

Looking to find out more about the placing for SSD's. Theres a bay at the bottom which looks like it houses 2x 3.5" drives with a 2.5" screwed to the side of it.

The Pandora is awful.

Techpowerup reviewed it and gave it a mediocre score, but worse is the LinusTechTips video of it, worth watching for the lols.

Good call.

It looks to be a challenge.

EDIT:

I have just seen the Corsair 380T. I'm in love.
