Ok what do you experts think of this setup?

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 - Im sticking with this processor no matter what.

Asus P5B Deluxe - Got doughts about it because of it being a 965p chipset, paring along with the E6600?

Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Tenth Anniversary - Its either that or the Cellshock 6400 Memory, purely because its rated at 6400?

So could you guys help me out please :)

I meant the PC6400 Ram, not the E6400, as that would be silly ;)

I was just gonna correct my post as I realised what you meant :o

The reason you should get the 6400 is that it's guaranteed to run at 800mhz so you'll be sure to get 3.6ghz out of your chip without increasing RAM volts :)

I've heard many a good thing about the OcUK Value 2gb 6400 stuff, apparently very good for it's price.

Actually look about (Maybe start another thread), try to find out what the crucial 5300 typically overclocks to. You're not likely to get much more than 3.5ghz out of your CPU anyway so if the 5300 can get near to 400mhz FSB then use that.

I wouldn't waste money on higher than 6400 RAM. Unless you have some serious cooling going on your chip is likely to top out at about 3.6ghz anyway (The stock RAM speed). If it doesn't top out at 3.6 the 6400 will more than likely overclock to 850-900 without much pushing (that'll be 4ghz) , making anything higher pointless really.

That is if i want to run a 1:1 ratio right.

Becuase i could just leave my CPU at stock 2.4ghz and my Ram at stock or change it to stock if need be 1000mhz?

So Zefan what do you think since your looking after me :)
