I want a Qtek s200/iMate JAMin but i want it on the Flext tarrif. Problem is this can't be done. Now thanks to another forum member i've been messing around with plans and come up with this:

Buy the qtek s200 sim free (cheaper than the JAMin, but as far as i'm aware there is no difference?) ~ £380.00
Get an MDA Pro with Tmobile on their Flext25 + web'n'walk ~ £150
Contact will cost £20.63 per month, over the 18 month period ~ 370.00
Hopefully i'll sell this on ebay for at least ~ £250

This means i'll be left with the phone i want, on a contract that i want for an overall cost of 650 over the whole 18 months.

If i'd bought the MDA pro on the flext25 + web'n'walk this would have cost me a total of 520.

Am i mad? Iis there a cheaper way around this!? :p

Of course the phone MDA pro could sell for upto £350 on ebay (as it has) i'm just being coservative, because i doubt it will.

Hope that all makes sense :)

Should get £350 for the pro easy. Why not just get the jammin/S200 on another tariff?

Are there any other tariffs with something comparable to web'n'walk, because that is what is really pulling me, as i'll be hammering it on the move.

Do you think, i've seen some go horribly low, more like £200!

Also i'd have the option of getting an N70 on the flext tariff, but i can only see that selling for about £150 i think which would be even worse.

You say you will be hammering it on the move? surely you want a 3g capable handset and one with a keyboard then?

I ended up with the MDA purely because of the 3g and the keyboard. YES its big but only 3cm all round bigger than a 6680 and the same thickness.

------- is around 3 cm

Its annoying at times(size) but not half as annoying as gprs speeds would be and no keyboard.

Well ok, not hammering on the move, but using it a fair fair bit. I've looked at the HTC hermes platform, looks great, but i dont want the extra thickness for the keyboard. If this phone was 3g it would be perfect, but hey i can't have everything :p. Although it has everything else i'm after, i just want to be able to fit it in a trouser pocket comfortably/

Dont buy a phone because you want a tariff, thats just stupid. If you want the jammin the get it the cheapest way poss (as I showed you), then get the tariff you want with the most cash back and the most expensive phone.

Would never pay over £500 for any phone and 12 months contract. If fact I would never pay line rental, eg. I got an 8800 for £150 then 12 X £19 so total price £378 for the phone that was worth (sim free) C. £500. So I got a cheap 8800 and and 12 months free rental. I've had the phone 9 months, sold it last week for £370 so its cost me £8 for an 8800 and 9 months worth of mins and txts, not bad hay?

Mad isnt it them phone, they are crap but worth so much coz of the way they look!

As for not paying line rental, you are not going to get a deal like the flext35 and web n walk with any cash back they are all ready cheap.

If your not fussed as to what tariff you have then thats fine.

But as spam a lot says just get the mda pro on the tariff you want then sell it and get the one you do want

Right, i've decided, i'm going to get an MDA pro with tmobile on their Flext 20 + web'n'walk. I'll try the phone out, it'll probably be too big, at which point i'll sell it on ebay, recoup some loss hopefully, and buy the phone i actually want :). Probably cost me a little more than it would do if i could get a phone i wanted with tmobile to being with especially if the MDA pro doesnt sell well on ebay. Chance i take i guess :).

:p Thats a great plan but i wanna play :(

I'm just gonna open it really well, or "check the contents are there" :o

Oh, i don't expect to hit a top offer on ebay becuase its locked to tmobile, hopefully i can do something about that though.

The MDA Pros I have been watching for the last week or so seem to be going for about £200. The cheapest being £181 (Oh how I wish I bidded for it now in hindsight lol) and the most expensive was about £330 but that was the version that came with co-pilot sat nav.
