I think it would be better to go with Triple-Channel DDR3 if you can afford it mate.

yes
dont get dual channel

and the evga x58 is pretty fail

it needs a bios update just to get it to cooperate

get something like a gigabyte ud5 or an asus p6t with a wider userbase [so that help is always at hand]

also - why not look at this ram

we use it in a lot of builds at ocuk

its great value and a solid performer

plus you get 6 gb rather than 4gb

Also - why such an expensive motherboard? I'd save £70 by going for an ASUS P6T and put the difference to a GTX285.

or look at a noctua cooler for getting the clock higher!

the 285 would only be beneficial to you on a monitor bigger than 22" using a bigger res than 1680*1050

yeh, im running 22" monitor. with the Asus p6t, ram suggested earlier and the noctua im looking 937.

the gfx card is my concern, will it sustain me with game performance for a good time at 1680x1050? or do i wanna be looking at something bigger?

Just to let you know since you first posted the 920 and asus board is now even cheaper due to this week only offer!

Unless you need the SAS controller, I can't see any reason to the P6T Deluxe over the P6T. The chipset cooling is theoretically better, but that's about it.
