I just attempted an overclock of my CPU. What i did was Disable speedstep, C state support and all those options. Changed the mutiplier to 45x and set the Core Voltage to 1.30V.

Is this a good voltage and temps for a 4.5gig overclock? or could i bump the voltage down more. also is my VID something to be alarmed about?

just blue screened :p going to increase the voltage slightly to 1.32 and go from there, ran fine for 5 hours and then blue screened

my cooling solution is a h100 refurb from ocuk with some aerocool shark led fans on them but i leave the side panel off whilst im using my comp

Looks very similar to mine, although my voltage setting doesn't tally with my actual voltage reading, to achieve 1.3v I have to set it to 1.32v in BIOS.

61c under Prime95 load @ 1.3v here.

atm im on 4.6ghz on 1.35v, i know this is stable because i used to use this for 3-4 months but put my cpu on stock again during the summer, just wanted to see if i could get a lower volt on 4.5.

might try and see if i can go slightly lower on 4.6
