Those of you who own these switches will know they are characterised by having web UIs that run like molasses. Well, years after their release it seems the cause of this has finally been found, and the latest release notes have the following tucked away in them:
You're after version P.2.12 for the 8G and 24G, and PK.1.18 for the 48G.
I've applied PK.1.18 to both my 48Gs and tagging VLANs onto ports doesn't make me want to cry any more, it actually responds.
Web Management (CR_0000135147) - When the switch handles broadcast traffic at rates of 500 packets/second
or more, the switch's Web user interface responds very slowly. This issue only affects switch management; network
traffic including broadcast traffic is switched properly.
