SX, unfortunately
I have a 1920g 16 port switch that I diligently used the energy saving for to switch off unused ports. Now I need to use a second SFP port but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to come back up? The energy saving for it appears to be off but the status shows it as forced down?

Any tips or can it only be done using the CLI perhaps?

Thanks :)

edit: found it - port management. Duh. Not sure why you can't undo it from the same place you apply it! mods please feel free to kill thread with fire.

Why kill it with fire, surely leave it here for anyone else to find in Google. That's the beauty of forums!

Because killing with fire is fun and hopefully other people aren't as stupid as me :D

I've only used netgear and blade switches before.

Stupid question number two for these switches - Stack and Link Aggregation.

So I now have a second 1920 series switch connected using two SFP ports aggregated. I have been reading about creating a stack to make management easier - but from what I can see you can't use a linked port for the stack - so either you can't create a stack if you use link aggregation or I've fundamentally misunderstood the stack feature and it actually uses the port only for this and you also need to link the switches for data as well?

Thanks :)
