Guys,

I have a printer attatched via usb onto a XP Server, i can see the printer in Vista 64bit but it wont let me connect, it needs a driver, i havent been able to find one on the web.

On HP website it says that with usb vista 64bit will work but it still comes up and asks for a driver.

Does anyone know a workaround to use the 32bit driver or allow me to printer via my network?

Cheers

According to the website the alternative driver is that of the Deskjet 5550, which is supposedly included with Vista. I assume you've tried that?

it says for vista 64bit it should install automatically, as does the 7350, neither work,

more importantly, i need it to work over the network!

The network shouldn't be too much of an issue if you can get the drivers on in the first place.

I'm talking from an XP point of view here (don't have Vista at work), but have you tried installing the printer manually as a network printer (create a TCP/IP port in the wizard - strangely enough in the "local printer attached to this computer" > "create a new port:" option), then selecting the Deskjet 5550 from the list of printers which follows?
