I am looking at HP care packs as some of our customers servers are due out of warranty soon. What are peoples thoughts on them? They look like an excellent package for the money, covering hardware and labour including onsite visits if the problems can't be fixed.

The packs would be to cover ML350/370's.

what does the standard warranty cover? just hardware replacement due to faults?

Do the ML350/370s' have a 1 year or 3 year standard warranty?

We cover quite a few ML110/115's and ML350/370's. All the servers are pretty new G5's.

I am happy enough with the Ml110/115's as they are pretty straight forward to sort out if something goes wrong.

The software side of the ML350/370's is fine, its just the hardware side. The HP warranty looks very good, didn't realise it was quite so good. By how it reads if anything fails hardware wise they will send the required parts next business day and either talk me through how to fix or if its more complicated send our an engineer to do it at no charge. I will definatly get care packs when the warrantys are due to run out but as far as I can see the standard warranty covers everything I am not so sure on.

If one of the drives fails would they also chat through how to replace the drive and reconfigure the array?
