We use five HP CP2025 printers at my school. Unfortunately if the printing doesn't arrive immediately our students start pressing buttons. All this does is make the printer print off the demo page which wastes a heck of a lot of blue (cyan) toner.

I found out today through some googling that it is possible to password protect the menus of the CP2025s so that the buttons don't do anything. I was able to work out that I need a copy of HP Toolkit. I've been unable to find a download link at HP's site. Does anyone know where I can download a copy of HP Toolkit? I'm running W7 at work if that helps, or not! :p

"Description: This download includes the HP Toolbox software for your printer. The Toolbox provides status and maintenance information about your printer. It also provides access to documentation and online help tools for solving printer problems."

Sound like the fella?

EDIT: Hmm maybe not, just noticed you said Toolkit and Google auto corrected to Toolbox. and I cant delete my post, sorry.

This can also be done using PCL commands. On my phone here but google locking the control panel with PCL commands and something should come up.

Cheers philtorrens. I've had a quick look at PCL commands but I can't find anything that helps me work out how to send a PCL command to a CP2025.
