I can say I am never going to buy a hp laptop again, on trying to get the express vista upgrade, the website says I can only upgrade from home to home basic 32 bit, which is less featured than xp home!

So I asked customer support how I could upgrade to 64 bit, and was told that the business laptops aren't equipped with the ability to run home premium 64 bit, I told them the upgrade advisor said I could run all versions of vista and I was told. "have you tried using a vista os cd to upgrade" and "You can use a vista operating system cd to upgrade to any version you want", how stupid can they be, why would I be using the express upgrade website if I had a copy of windows vista?

They are not all bad. I have a number in work of a uk call center which you can phone direct and they will sort you out. Mind you its only for business users, but you could try our luck. I wont be in work until tuesday but i will try and remember to post back.

Yet another attempt by m$ and hp to rip people off here.

Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit £25.35
Shipping and handling £10.98
Taxes and Duties £6.39
Total £42.90

How the hell is £42.90 a half price upgrade?

And what retard gets £6.39 as 17.5& of £25.35?

So much for going legal then lol.
