HP DL140 G3 Raid?

Hi

I have been given an old DL140 G3 rack mount server but I can't tell if it has raid on it? It has no operating system on yet but when I boot it up I can't see any options relating to raid.

Should this server have raid?

you should be able to raid 0 or 1 the system

probably not enabled in bios?

Thanks...I found it in BIOS and enabled it. Now the next problem is I would like to put Win 7 on this server but can't find a suitable driver for the embedded SATA.

Any ideas?

windows 7 may use its own driver i found on certain DL380 servers. server 2008 driver may work ok from the hp support site

Bung it's serial number into hpe.com and it should list all the hardware in it. It won't have drivers for win 7, but you can probably work out or maybe even use one from 2003.
