My other half's laptop seems to be on its last legs. Every now and again the display seems to corrupt and can only be 'reset' by twisting the screen which makes me think it is a loose contact.
Sometimes, to make matters worse, the display totally scrambles with an unintelligable mess appearing on the screen. To fix this, she has to close the screen, open it and wiggle the screen again.
Any ideas what this might be and if it is worth paying to have it fixed? Laptop is over 3 years old now but all she uses it for is going on the net and basic office tasks...
