HP Envy 5540 - error

Hi,

I have an error that seems to be coming from W10 somehow.
The printer is working fine and printing ok from tablets and mobile phones on the network, but in W10 it is saying that it is 'out of paper' (when it isn't).

HP Print & Scan doctor runs through the various checks - all green and ok - but then on trying to print the test page - the error message: 'error - printing' from W10

I have reinstalled the driver / cleaned the rollers etc on the printer / pulled the power etc.
Can print fine directly from the printer. and other devices on the network....but not the W10 desktop.

Any ideas, it is driving me nuts.

I have put some photo paper in that tray (even though it has never needed it before) - it now shows in 'ready' status.

But.....will still not print - says 'printer in error state'

After a few hours uninstalling / reinstalling / testing various things = managed to sort it via 'Microsoft Fix It'
HP support were pretty useless and had me in a repeating circle doing the same thintgs that did not work.
