HP G6000 : What CPU is it?

Simple question, but what CPU is in a HP G6000?

Ok, thats a thick question, let me expand on that...

I know its an AMD x2 1.7Ghz

But, the laptop is dead as a dodo, its been taken back 4 times in its first year of warranty, and then it died on week 52+3 days ( Typical ) and so sicxk to the hilt of HP Laptops, I was wondering if I could take the CPU out and plonk it in a Desktop mobo, so if I can do that, what socket is it?

I don't think any laptop cpu no matter what it is will fit in a desktop mobo.

Which is listed as Socket S1.

A quick Google turns up some motherboards, but mainly ones on Ebay that have been butchered from a laptop. So basically, unless you really feel it's worth the effort, I wouldn't bother.
