Hi Guys
I am very interested in a HP HDX 16 laptop as it seems to tick all of the boxes. Problem is HP seem to have recently changed the model from the HDX-1000 range to the HDX-1200 range which has now got a slightly slower cpu and 3gb of ram instead of 4gb.
There seems to be no reviews of the newer models and very little stock in the UK. I am just wondering if anyone knows if they are going to change the models again as I would be gutter if I got one and a week later a newer one came our.

Cheers

I dont know about the new one but i have the old HDX 16

p8400 i think , 4gb 800 ram ..erm.. 320hd . that kinda stuff

the screen still amazes me , realy is the finest laptop screen ive ever seen, also with a 9600gt it isnt a slouch with games , crysis runs ok at low/med settings

I bought it to be middleground for everything , med power med portability etc

and it does it all very well, cant complain about any aspect of it

1 downside is the lack monitoring from speedfan and the like , u get cpu temps and hd temps and thats it :/

oh and the HP software for the subwoofer is a bit annoying as u have to remember to get it installed right otherwise it doesnt use the Sub

but anyways i would defo recoment the old one i got mine from comet ( price matched from pc world)

Thanks for that.
I have bought the new one and I must say its fantastic. The screen is great and i love the backlit keyboard.

Thanks again
