HP hx2790 iPAQ - how to hard reset?

Hi,

I want to reset my iPAQ back to factory settings as it's been misbehaving recently. I have tried following the guide found here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...0&prodTypeId=215348&objectID=c00266789#N1007E

But it just seems to keep rebooting as normal. Any ideas?

Remove the battery, & CMOS (if it has 1, Dell Axim's have a CMOS-type battery), and let it sit for a while (overnight?). Try clearing it as per the manual while it's got no juice. Pray for the best.

If you can access the cmos battery just take it out and short the connection that should clear it immediately.

Erm on my axim you just had to hold down the power and the reset keys simultaneously.

Obivously cmos clearing malarky isn't the ideal way of hard-reseting a PDA, but since this guy is having a problem using the normal hard-rest method, I'm just trying to think outside of the box

I don't seem to have access to CMOS battery
