Hp laptop display problem online

Hi all
I am having trouble watching YouTube vids on my laptop. I am told that I need flash player to watch! I have installed over and over but it's as if I have not. I have scanned with up to date virus and mail ware. No problems there? I am running windows 7. Any suggestions to try or even confirm it not hardware would be great. Thanks guys
 
What browser are you using?

Does the same thing happen with Chrome? Chrome uses HTML5 instead of Flash so YouTube should still be able to run with that.
