I got a 6370B Laptop that has seemed to develop an issue that I cannot quite solve.
I am currently toying with Linux ( Kubuntu ) in there, but the issue is the same in Windows.
When it starts up, the wireless light is blue, and then after a short while, it goes orange
Now, on a fresh install, I can then uset he mouse and simply enable wireless and it works... But, after a restart, it will not.
I have now found another semi-cure.
If I go into the BIOS and reset the security settings to factory, and I start back up, I get a DOS type screen that quickly asks if I was to reset the TPM and I can select F1 to Accept or F2 to not. I have of course tried both of these.
When I get to the desktop, once again, I can enable Wireless with the mouse, but only the once. Once it restarts, I am back to square one.
Now, I did get the very same issue with the HP DV6 however, I reset the Factory security thing on that, and its been peachy ever since, but not this.
I have also found another weird issue.
I have a TP-LINK USB wireless adapter, and if I plop that in, I can then use the wireless button on the laptop to enable the USB device, and then, even more weird is that I can now pull the USB device out, and the onboard stays on and it can use the onboard after that... Again, only until I restart.
Other options I have tried, are different wireless cards, but everything else I have tried, even though they seem to be physically compatible, I get a message when starting up, saying the device is NOT compatible. I am therefore not too keen on buying a new one, just in case its wasted money.
So, does anyone have any clues?
Other than simply forgetting all about it and sticking to the USB one, I dont know.
Thanks all.
