Hi, This is going to be a question for somebody working in IT at a Business really.

I'm trying to lock down the menus on our HP laserjet printers. I've sucessfully achived this using WebJet Admin.

However the function I really wanted to lock down is still availble. When you open and close the print tray it asks if you want to change the paper type. Its still doing this and allowing you to change the paper type eevn tho the paper type menu is locked down.

Is there a option to stop the printer asking you this, or another way of locking it down.

Users put more paper in then mash the buttons and we end up with Letterhead where plain paper should be and plain paper where letterhead should be.

Which model are we talking about here? You can completely lock the control panel using a PJL command (Printer Job Language). I have access to Hp's knowledge base here and have found a document that will tell you what you need to know. Drop me an email and I will send you it.

Why not just put a sticker on the printer in front of the buttons educating them how to change paper?

Insert paper, press GO. (Or whatever)
