I've only recently heard and read about HP Lovecraft and am intrigued, his stories sound amazing.

I'm a bit confused about what to get though. Is it worth getting the Necronomicon or should I just get the complete fiction? Am I right in saying everything from the Necronomicon will be in the complete fiction anyway?

Thanks

You are correct going from memory. I haven't read his stuff in ages but the necronomicon was a collection of his best and more interesting works for want of a better expression.

The Necronomicon is a book that gets whispered about within some of the Lovecraft stories. You can buy a book called the Necronomicon but its little to do with what shows up in the Lovecraft stories. *edit* I see there is also a complication of Lovecraft stories also called the Necronomicon. Best bet is to buy the complete fiction.

I have a particular fondness for the stories The Shadow Over Innsmouth and The Case of Charles Dexter Ward.

Thanks :).

Just ordered the Complete Fiction from Amazon. Couldn't decide between Barnes & Noble and Knickerbocker, so just went for the newer and more/better reviewed Knickerbocker. Can't wait to read, I just read The Beast in the Cave and The Alchemist on Amazon look-inside - both very good reads!
