if a displayport cable came with this monitor...lol my bits are in the loft and i wanna go look but cant really be bothered unless i know its there ill go buy one on tuesday lol.

its ok there was ive found it ..so am i best using this cable instead of a dvi or hdmi cable?

It doesn't matter.

I've had my LP2474w connected by displayport, dvi, hdmi and vga and there was no appreciable difference between any of them.

I've now got two of them, one on display port, and the other on hdmi, and there's no difference.

There should be no difference whatsoever between DVI/DP in your usage scenario, exactly as bremen1874 says.

Only reason to use hdmi or displayport over dvi on the LP2475w would be to carry audio as well as video really

nps just wondered using display port for my hp and dvi to hdmi for my secondary monitor/tv all working ok ....thanks guys for you input.

yes i comes with a DP cable in box.
