Hey all,

Purchased a HP LP2475, all calibrated now, very nice!! Recommend!!

But, I tried PS3 via HDMI, HDMI to DVI and Component and all my 1080 games look great, except for Grand Theft Auto 4.. which looks awful and blurry, doesn't matter what I do in image control.

PS: I also forced the ps3 to only output in 1080 mode.

Help?

Ben.

On the PS3, GTA4 is rendered at 630p, yes that's not a typo. See this...

http://kotaku.com/385237/gta-iv-runs-at-630p-on-playstation-3-so-whats-that-mean

Even on the 360 it's only 720p. In either case, anyone trying to run it on 1080p display devices mean they are at the mercy of the display's scaler or the console's. The lower the starting resolution, the worse it will eventually look. As such, on a 1080p screen, the PS3 version of GTA4 will look the worst.

Dude ...nice one.. didn't know that..

Then it will look awful on a screen like mine, with a native resolution of 1920x1200!

Lucky I have a trusty plasma screen (an old 32") and it runs @ 540p I think via component - GTA4 looks very nice on it I can say.

;=]

EDIT: I'm sure it says 1080p on the box for GTA4..
